Paper presentation at ISM Conference

The ISM conference took place from 23 - 25 November. Due to the current corona situation the conference was held as a virtual event. Johannes Schönböck, member of the research group PEEC, was allowed to present 2 papers.

The growing and intensive development of information technology in the manufacturing industry has led to significant changes in methods and tools.  The International Conference on Industry 4.0 and Intelligent Manufacturing (ISM) provides a framework and a forum for the exchange of knowledge, review and discussion of theoretical advances, research results and industrial experience among scientists, researchers, policy makers, practitioners and students.

As a first contribution of the PEEC research group, a paper on the use of Augmented Reality (AR) for service work in the field of intralogistics was discussed. The results of two studies, which were carried out in the context of study projects, were presented, showing the extent to which AR can already be used in industrial environments.

In the second project the vision of a collaborative modelling and simulation environment for cyberphysical systems, which is being developed within the DisMoSim project, was presented. It was shown how the basic architecture was designed and first prototypical implementations were presented.
