Long-standing workshop at an exciting conference

On Sunday, September 1, 2024, our research group member Thomas Neumayr moderated this year's ABIS workshop as the main organizer at the Mensch und Computer (MuC) Conference 2024 in Karlsruhe. With a tradition of more than 30 years, ABIS is one of the veterans of the MuC workshops and deals with how interactive systems can be adapted to our individual needs and preferences according to the latest findings. Karin Breckner from PEEC also took part with her contribution, which discussed how humans and AI can complement each other in the best possible way when working together, complementing each other's strengths and weaknesses. After the exciting workshop, the participants ended the evening comfortably on beer benches at the MuC Welcome Reception and visited the impressive Schlosslichtspiele (see picture).

The following main conference was characterized by exciting presentations, interesting discussions and an exciting evening program. Karin and Thomas returned from Germany inspired and full of ideas for their own research and are already looking forward to the next edition of ABIS and MuC 2025.
